Don't let them in your home!

Bedbugs are not everywhere, but they can be anywhere,” said Jody Gangloff-Kaufmann, an entomologist with Cornell University and coordinator of the New York State Integrated Pest Management community program

Steps
to prevent
an infestation!

Protect your beds and couches: If you are not able to see visible signs like blood, droppings, shells, or eggs and if you do not have bites on your body look into a bed bug uv search light. It is still possible to unknowingly have the first stage of infestation, and it is important to stop this as quickly as possible. We recommend that you start by putting bed bug traps in the areas you may suspect could be infested. You should also put up a defense by using bed bug interceptors under the legs of the beds and couches to keep them from climbing into bed with you.

Protection while sleeping: To keep safe from these biting menaces, we suggest using a mattress encasement to separate you from the favorite hangout of these pesky bloodsuckers. First, use a steam cleaner and HEPA vacuum to purge your mattress and pillows, and then put a mattress encasement on and remake the bed! For an extra level of security, plug in an ultrasonic deterrent near your bed.

Create a barrier to shut them out: The last measure you can add to your home is a defensive barrier! These buggers can enter under doors and through window frames even if they are closed! By installing bed bug proof door sweeps and window sealers, you can block access to any unwanted guests! The bedroom is a must, and the doors leading in and out of the house and central common areas.

Finally, it is time to fight back!: Use a heat tent to kill any pests in your bedding and clothes safely. This device cooks them dead without damaging your items. (Always follow instructions for the device precisely to ensure safety and success). Also, use a kill spray to be sure the areas you can’t defend are impassable, and apply the product once every few days or as directed to stop the spread of bed bugs while you are fortifying your home’s defenses!

Lastly, during this bed bug epidemic, if you are traveling or spending time at other people’s houses, staying in hotels, or using public transportation and facilities, you should be wrapping up the contents of your bags, purses, and suitcases and using a heat tent before you enter your home. If you cannot do this outside, set up an area away from the bedrooms to change clothes and head there as soon as you get in the house. This way, you can safely treat any clothing and items before these terrors can transfer to your safe zone! See below for a complete product guide and check out pest control pricing in your area! This was a lifesaver! After I had tried almost everything, the bed bugs were beating me and my daughters down; we were absolutely terrified and so miserable! I bought this spray after reading some of the reviews. I wasn’t sure it would work, but I was ready to try just about anything….. I sprayed our couches, our carpets, and the bedrooms. I checked everything two days later and we were free of all the bed bugs…luckily I have enough left over to spray one more time if needed! I recommend this product 100%

I bought this for a bed in a furnished cottage I’m renting for the winter. If you are like me, you just never know when it’s someone else’s bed. Although the tags are still on this mattress, you can never go wrong. Queen size fit like a glove. Slid on half, stood it up, pulled the rest up and zipped it up! Easy! Great quality!

I had no idea there were bed bugs in my apartment until I read a blog from bedbugdatabase.com. I decided to see for myself. I ordered a UV flashlight, and sure enough, there were signs everywhere. I was horrified, but I followed the steps and stopped them dead in their tracks before they spread!

I could not recommend this site enough! I have 2 rental properties that, for various reasons, became infested with bed bugs. Their advice saved me thousands in losses and bad reviews because I chose to hire a professional exterminator and avoided a major headache by fixing the problem early. The fumigation team did a wonderful job! I just got a 5-star review. Thanks!
